Kujima (pronounced koo-gee-ma) is the creative fusion of three Swahili terms borrowed from the African American cultural celebration of Kwanzaa:
Kujichagulia: Self-determination
Kuumba: Creativity
Ujima: Collective Work and Responsibility
The Kujima Corps consists of researchers who are dedicated to
curating stories and spaces of Black Joy.
